Silver-top Mfg. Uses the Elite 3”, 4” and 6” Roof Panels that are now ENERGY STAR rated.  What is  ENERGY STAR? ENERGY STAR  is a label that helps consumers identify products that can save them money and help protect the environment by saving energy.  The Elite Roof Panels have met or exceeded energy-efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

As a Homeowner, what does this mean to you?  In addition to the energy savings achieved over the life of the panels, U.S. government is offering a TAX CREDIT  to the consumer for the  purchase of Elite ENERGY STAR QUALIFIED ROOF PANELS, A tax credit is generally more valuable than an equivalent tax deduction because a tax credit reduces tax liability dollar for dollar, while a deduction only removes a percentage of the tax that is owed.

The  tax credit allows for 30% of the qualified material cost, up to $1500 total.  Installation costs are not included.  We would encourage you, the homeowner, to contact your tax preparer or the Internal Revenue service for answers to specific questions.
